These are the chronicles of the beehives first launched near a decrepit wooden ship in an old pirates’ backyard, deep in the lilac draped slopes of West Seattle, namely: Alki. The Hives sit nestled by the ship, under the ample bosom of wild cherry, plum and blackberry, a true urban nectary.
My name is Daniel; I am the Beekeeper. I bought all of my Hives unassembled and stained them a natural cedar waterproof finish, cured them after two coats and then assembled them, it was easy to do. I encourage anyone who wants to be a beekeeper to assemble their own Hives. Touch, memorize and put love into your project long before any bee even sees them.
